The Wonders Of My HTC Mobile

Every time I remember my first mobile, I couldn't help myself to smile and amaze how technology evolves so fast and did a great impact in ones life. I think it was during my last semester in college, around 1999, when my eldest sister handed over to me her old bulk Bosch since she had bought her new 5110 Nokia. Only few had mobiles before because not so many can afford as it was really expensive during those time and people don't really consider it yet as necessity. So obviously, I always got my new celphone out from my sister's old one. And I had been through different generations of mobiles, from black and white to colored one, from keypads to touch screen, and from sms to gprs. Just wondering what's next.

Now, for over 10 years span, mobiles develop and expand drastically. Every few months new models are introduce and release in  the market like hotcakes. And it became more techie, more convenient, more advance, more friendly and lots of new features that sometimes beyond what you expect and ask for. Currently, I have my HTC HD mini and I love it. I'm not a celphone buff instead I am more into computer and internet. I'm not a showy type of person who would buy often when new one is out or go for what is in. I'm not really aiming for Iphone because I consider it as luxury and even though I can afford it still for me it won't worth the same once I buy a laptop. Though HTC mini is kind of expensive but not as expensive as Iphone, I bought it because I am after for its features specifically the windows mobile operating system. While doing this blog I'm just using my celphone. I'm working here as domestic helper and so computer or laptop is not allowed (maybe) in my employer's pad as she is so mean with energy consumption. So my htc mini did help me a lot in many ways particularly with the use of the internet access. For just HK$78 a month or equivalent to more or less 450 pesos, I could have unlimited internet access and can browse over the internet the same way when using personal computer or laptop. I downloaded and used the  Opera Mini Beta 10 as my internet browser. It is so easy to use, fast and surfing friendly. I could open more than five windows and can do switching between windows or to other features of htc mini. Unluckily, Opera Mini couldn't play online videos and sad to say the Skyfire internet browser doesn't work with htc mini. Skyfire is really nice in internet video playing as I used it before with my htc touch pro. That is my first touch screen celphone before I oblige to buy the htc mini. Why oblige? Unfortunately, because of my negligence and carelessness, I dropped my htc touch pro straigth into the toilet bowl and so I don't have a choice but to buy a new one as my husband was already mad for I wasn't online for few days. Yes you read it right, I could also do online chatting with my hubby using my celphone. We save lots of money for txt and calls. I used to love the Nimbuzz before because I can chat in my yahoo messenger account and the same time can chat with my Facebook account. My friends wouldn't know that I'm using only my celphone to chat with them as it appeared as if I'm using a computer and I'm online 24 hours a day. But I switch it now to Fring because the last time I used Nimbuzz it is totally annoying. The updates they did on Nimbuzz doesn't work or compatible with the Opera mini beta 10 that it keeps my celphone freezing when using these two applications at the same time. So I give up Nimbuzz. Anyway Fring works the same way as Nimbuzz but facebook chatting is out. It's ok since I could open Facebook in my Opera mini and have an option to switch between mobile or desktop window. And of course I could still chat in my facebook since it works the same way like in computer desktop.
My HTC mini really impress me. Though it is really far from what the  Iphone could offer, still I'm amaze of its features and I think it is lot better than Nokia. Many would say that they would prefer Android over Windows Mobile as the operating system but so far I'm contended with the latter one. I couldn't compare the two as I don't have a chance to scrutinize the Android. With Windows Mobile as the OS of my htc mini, I can use the Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Note. I can upload and/or download these documents in/from the internet. Moreover, my htc mini has a Youtube, Tweeter, Google Map, Adobe Reader, Facebook Mobile, Wi-Fi router, Email Outlook, MP3 Trimmer, FM radio, WorldCard Reader, Java Blend, and a lot more. I really enjoy using my HTC mini as it offers everything I need. I can download games and other applications. I can transact my online banking in Metrobank using the mobile Internet Explorer. The phonebooks are well synchronize with my email and Facebook accounts and could put pictures and details on  each contact name . I really like the synchronize email as I can set my three email yahoo accounts, and can receive, send and read emails without literally opening on yahoo website to open my accounts. My messages just arrive like a txt on my three accounts and would notify me a sound or a blink that I have a new message. What a great idea. Now I know why Nokia is competing it hard to HTC because HTC did introduce impressive features.

This is just my review about my HTC HD Mini. I don't have really any idea how other cellphone brands operate and so I couldn't really compare much to its competitors. I wouldn't say that my HTC mini is perfect and excellent because it has also its own flaws. What I'm trying to convey is how technology did its great job in making peoples life easy and comfortable. Truly amazing...
